Adrian Cook is a Senior Operating Partner at Fifth Ocean Group with extensive executive, operational, and financial leadership experience across upstream oil and gas and resources in Australia and Asia.

He previously served as Managing Director of Carnarvon Energy Limited, where he led the discovery of the Dorado field, the largest offshore oil field discovery in Western Australia in over three decades and oversaw subsequent production operations in Asia. Earlier roles include Managing Director of Buru Energy, Head of Finance at ARC Energy, and senior leadership positions within Clough’s oil and gas engineering and construction business.

Adrian has also held senior roles within Rio Tinto’s Australian coal operations and brings deep experience across project development, operations, and capital markets.



He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Chartered Accountant, and holds a master’s degree in finance and Investment.
