Founder of Fifth Ocean Group

Kevin Lowder is the Founder and Group Managing Director of Fifth Ocean Group, with more than 15 years of international investment experience across energy, infrastructure, and real assets. He has built and led investment platforms across Rio De Janeiro, Sydney, London and Houston, with a focus on large-scale, complex transactions in energy and resources.

Prior to founding Fifth Ocean, Kevin was a Managing Director and founding member of EIG, where he served on the firm’s General Partner Advisory Committee and led the Brazil investment team. He originated and structured EIG’s 2022 acquisition of a $4.8 billion stake in Repsol’s global upstream business and held board and vice chair roles across several major energy infrastructure platforms in Brazil, including Vast Infraestrutura, and Prumo Logistica.

Kevin has also led the development of Latin America’s largest LNG-to-Power project and has served on the boards of multiple energy and infrastructure companies across the region.



He holds a BBA in Energy Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
